10/21 - 10/28

Hi Violinists!

Each week I "shout out" one or more students in each class! This week I would like to shout out: Eva - you have such amazing and helpful ideas and contributions when I teach. You are so helpful framing things in new ways - I am learning so much from you. Eva came up with “Boo 2” for our Halloween low 2 and noticed are bow arm is like a chicken wing when changing strings. I will use these ideas for years to come when I teach!

Please purchase a Suzuki Book 1. This is not optional!

Please make sure you have a working Music Stand at home.

You can access sheet music (De Colores and even Go Tell Aunt Rhody) in the Intermediate Drive

Violinists and families - this week it is so important that you begin the habit of practice. Please take out your violin 4 times for practice between 10/21-10/28 for just 5-10 minutes every time. I want you  practicing practice! This will make practicing much easier later in the year and is a great life skill!

This week in violin we:

  1. Worked on our elevator wrist and elbow when we change strings with the bow. This helps us not hit the other strings.

  2. Learned measure 1 of Go Tell Aunt Rhody

  3. Played detective to see if we could “detect” these new violin techniques
