The Waters Wildcast will meet once a week as a student production team to publish a REAL bi-weekly podcast about the goings on at Waters, interviews with students and staff, music, and more! We'll teach you everything you need to know about creating your own podcast, from writing scripts to using audio editing software.

What you'll learn:

  • Audio production basics: Recording, editing, and mixing sound (gear provided!)

  • Journalistic skills: Interviewing, researching, and storytelling.

  • Tech skills: Using podcasting equipment and software.

  • Collaboration: Working with others to create a successful podcast

No experience necessary! Great for kids who love learning new technology, interested in journalism, or just want to get more involved with their school community! 

  • Trial Class Tuesday September 18th - see if the Waters Wildcast is right for you. First “official” start day is September 25

  • Waters Wildcast  follows the CPS calendar with some additional days off. Please see website for details.

  • Please plan to commit to the Waters Wildcast for the full year 

Student Tuition: $650  (one time program fee, no makeups or prorated tuition for absences. Averages to about $20 per 60 minute class, September - May). We will require a minimum of 6 paying sign ups to run Waters Wildcast.
