Hi Violinists,
Each week I "shout out" one or more students in each class! This week I would like to shout out: Lucy and Goldie - your 4 on the A string is so in tune! It sounded just like your e string - great ears!
NECESSARY MATERIALS
Small Binder with clear sleeves for loose sheet music
MUSIC STAND for standing practice at home. You do not need to bring this stand to class.
Violinists and families - this week it is so important that you begin the habit of practice for this year. Please take out your violin 4 times for practice between 10/21 - 10/28 for just 10-15 minutes every time.
This week in violin we:
1. Worked on keeping our LH elbows underneath the violins with straight wrists. This gives us a beautiful mouse house and helps us play fast and in tune.
2. Practiced Arpeggios (broken up chords) and played a G arpeggio and A minor arpeggio. Minuet 2 starts with a G arpeggio
Learned all 4 lines of Minuet 2
4. Worked on phrasing and making musical sentences in De Colores. We added a “lift” of the bow in measure 10
Practice: STANDING with new foot position and violin set high on your shoulder
