10/7-10/14/26 Practice
Hi Violinists,
Each week I "shout out" one or more students in each class! This week I would like to shout out: Vikka - I loved seeing you get out your violin to practice while the intermediate students were eating Hot Cross Buns and packing up. Goldie - you are doing an AWESOME job at memorizing the music - bravo!
NECESSARY MATERIALS
Small Binder with clear sleeves for loose sheet music
MUSIC STAND for standing practice at home. You do not need to bring this stand to class.
Violinists and families - this week it is so important that you begin the habit of practice for this year. Please take out your violin 4 times for practice between 10/7-10/14 for just 10-15 minutes every time.
This week in violin we:
1. Worked on keeping our LH elbows underneath the violins with straight wrists. This gives us a beautiful mouse house and helps us play fast and in tune.
2. Learned about Arpeggios (broken up chords) and played a G arpeggio and Minuet 2 starts with a G arpeggio
3. started to memorize De colores
4. worked on being expressive with our bodies when playing De Colores
Practice: STANDING with new foot position and violin set high on your shoulder
